Comments Thread For: Austin Trout: I'll Probably Fight Anthony Mundine Next

Undefeated WBA "regular" junior middleweight champion Austin Trout is already making plans for his next title defense. Last Saturday in Mexico, he retained his title with a twelve round decision over David Lopez. Also last week, BoxingScene.com posted a report where former champion Anthony Mundine of Australia was calling for a fight with Trout. A former champion at 168 and 160, Mundine is trying to win three titles in three divisions by dropping backwards in weight.

strange, dropping in weight at his age, most ppl step up a weight class or two. One could only wonder how healthy this is and how much it will affect his performance., most likely negative as he lost by KO 2 fights ago against a C class fighter.

Before he becomes a three-division champion Mundine needs to become a two-division champion. Contrary to this post, he never won a major belt at 160. And he ws never anything more than a paper champion at 168

I dislike Pac aswell. But that was for the Ring title aswell, which is pretty much the best belt of all. Thing is... It was against Hatton, who sucks.

Mundine is a joke. I'd barely consider him a one division champion. Trout is a good fighter but he isn't even the "true" WBA champ... Cotto is. So even IF Mundine beats him(which he wont because he sucks) he will STILL only be a one division "champ"(in reality a one division paper belt holder).
