Junior middleweight Alfredo Angulo (19-1, 16KOs) has confirmed an earlier report on BoxingScene.com, that he will indeed return to the ring on August 20th in Mexicali, Mexico. The opponent is unknown, but Angulo does want a shot at the WBC junior middleweight title, which is currently held by Saul Alvarez (36-0-1, 26 KOs). He plans to attend this Saturday's fight between Alvarez and Ryan Rhodes, with the intention of challenging the winner.

Angulo is ranked in the Top 5 in the WBC and as the Rhodes fight shows, Canelo can fight in Mexico for World Titles Fights.

This will be a great fight and the Mexican Public will love it, it doesn't matter who wins they will have a great fight

Yea i know it would be a great fight. But golden boy will not let their cash cow any where near angulo. Not at this stage. Just like arum wont let martinez near chavez.
But angulo shouldn't make the sane mistake martinez is doing by waiting around for the wbc to force the fight he should go out and get bundrage's tittle.

Well rhodes is his mandatory so he will probably have one or two voluntary defence he will be able to make i dont want angulo to just be sitting around bc that could be like a year he would just be waiting. He should get himself a tittle like the ibf and build his name up and not wait for the big names like martinez.
