    Ebo Elder: Future Star?

I was watching the war between Elder and Manfredy-Conquerer Courtney Burton recently, and was amazed. Elder, 22-1 (14 KO), defeated Courtney Burton, 21-3 (11 KO), with a 12th round TKO on Shobox. I remember Elder's embarrassing first round KO loss to Ubaldo Hernandez and thinking "Another Friday Night Flop". But following his victories over Burton and Oscar Diaz, I'm beginning to think that Elder is a special fighter. Does Elder present a future risk of winning a title? Is Elder the future of 135?

    NO

He's a tough kid who when matched right can be highly enetertaining. Beating Burton at this stage in Burton's career is nothing special consdiering Burton has been destroyed his last two time out before this fight.

He cant beat the top guys at either 135 or 140.

i'd just like to see him in there w/ juan diaz if he is ever going to fight a champ at 135. julio would handle him w/ ease as would chico. juan isn't that big a puncher and ebo has a world of heart. ebo is this generations mickey ward.

oh, and castillo would just murder this kid.

You have a point there. Juan Diaz and Elder would be great. I'm not so sure Julio Diaz beats him all too convincingly.

Both Diaz boys kill him. If Elder is having life and death struggles with guys the caliber of Courtney Burton thats not good.

I think you got a point there. He should not be struggling with Burton if he's gonna be something. How does him and Augustus sound? Easy to make.

Augustus boxes circles around him. He's just too slick. I dont think Ebo's people would take that fight.

Elder doesn't seem to have the chin to hang at the top level.
