Comments Thread For: Marcos Maidana To Train in Puerto Rico For Guerrero

On August 27th Robert 'The Ghost' Guerrero will rise up in weight and facing off with interim WBA junior welterweight champion Marcos Maidana in San Jose, California on HBO's Boxing After Dark. The two men last saw time on the same card together on April 9th inside of the MGM Grand when Guerrero impressively routed Australia's Michael Katsidis over the course of twelve rounds while Maidana had to dig down deep to pull out a decision over come backing former champion Erik Morales. If Guerrero boxes Maidana, he should be fine. If he decides to slug it out, he's just asking to get KO'ed. Maidana's power isn't "extreme", but I think it'll be enough to hurt and possibly drop Guerrero. Maidana just lacks so much technique that I see Ghost taking advantage of it.

and PRBOXINGCOTTO, Maidana IS a punching bag lol
