Last week, BoxingScene.com had reported that the IBF ordered #1, Argenis Mendez and #5, Juan Carlos Salgado to begin negotiations for the vacant IBF Jr. Lightweight Championship. Since that time, the IBF received a written certification on behalf of Salgado, stating that he was not willing to participate in negotiations and therefore requested an immediate purse bid according to IBF Rule 10A. Therefore, the IBF will call for purse bids on Tuesday, June 28, at 12 Noon.

I hope ( for Argenis sake) that this fight does not go to Mexico. This will be a tough fight from the looks of it and there is no way he will get the nod in Mexico if the fight is close.
