A great fight card = better PPV #s?

    Let's say for example....

mayweather vs ortiz - Main Event

    canelo vs rhodes - undercard

    2 young fighters fights - 2 undercards

I say that would produce some pretty decent PPV #s....est. 1.6 mil???

As opposed to just a mayweather vs ortiz main event and another journeyman fight just before....

    Yay or Nay????

The event will sell solely because of Mayweather fighting a good and young opponent. A good undercard is only for us hardcore fans (who are buying it anyways) the casual fans don't care about a solid undercard unless you have somebody like Cotto or something like that. Canelo VS a good opponent could bring in more Mexican PPVs buys, but honestly we buy every PPV boxing related lol

Most of the time, when there is a PPV fight at another friends/ family members house....I'm usually the only one watching the undercards and everyone else is getting their swerve on in time for the "main event"....then when they hear me yelling at the TV they all want to rush in and ask..."what happened? is it a good fight?"
