    EVEN MORE TRUTH!

you see this is an argument formed by someone who has compared the facts and weighed options in regards to how each fighter may preform based on a wide base and understanding of what tangible information is out there.

I can't believe someone said CINTRON was a good win. I respected the guy back in the day but he's proven me wrong.

Big fan of Floyd, but Tony really would have given him a great fight. His constant pressure alone is gonna give Mayweather a great fight. Not very many fighters puts pressure on Floyd, they fight his fight. Margarito would have kept coming, and coming. There is no way Mayweather could hurt a prime Margarito @ 147 IMO. Still, I'd pick Mayweather to beat prime Margarito, by decision (obviously). Something like 9 rounds to 3. Where 3 rounds could be given to Margarito for high work rate and constant pressure probably.

        MORE TRUTH!

A fan of boxing can see the obvious, which i am. It would be a good fight but Marg would lose by a wide UD!

The Margarito that fought Cotto would have been a nightmare for Floyd. Good job he avoided him I think.

I still don't think Floyd's power would stop Margarito's pressure. Floyd has good movement of course, but in most fights he never really has to use his movement being he like to keep his opponents at a distance and time them. I've never seen a Margarito fight in which he literally just sat there and let a fighter time him w/out him throwing his own. Just a tough, tough fight for Floyd. Could Floyd win? I think so. Would it be easy, hell no.

I never got the hype of Margo, he is possibly one of the worst BOXERS (not fighters) in history and Floyd would **** him tbh.

If you think otherwise, your either ******ed or blind or a hater of some sort.

1000+ punches? give me a break..... he would throw about 5-600 against Floyd and get countered on all of them.

                      ****** thread.

                      lol smashed.

all of margarito's wins with capetillo are in question anyway
i have little to no doubt he loaded his gloves against cotto and his second fight with citron

common sparring opponents of mayweather and manny who have had extensive experience with both say that mayweather is the harder puncher
it makes sense... he's a WW and manny is basically a blown up lightweight at this point in his career

margarito wouldn't throw 1200 punches against floyd
                      nobody has and nobody will

if shane mosley was fast enough to pick off everything margarito had to offer and fire back do you seriously think floyd mayweather will have a problem with it?

floyd certainly punches hard enough to break margarito down or at least slow his forward roll

shane was able to walk margarito to the ropes, which i don't think floyd would be strong enough to do
but he'd certainly be strong enough to tie margarito up after potshotting if he needed to
he bullied shane some late in their fight.

                      summary
floyd certainly wouldn't score a stoppage, but he'd probably win every round past the first and would likely bust margaritas face up

only if margarito is actually dumb enough to throw 1000 punches against floyd will he have a chance to get stopped

that's just too many chances for floyd to make you pay for it

fighting floyd is very different from looking at him on paper
nobody has been able to implement a gameplan over 12 rounds
