Ward Vs Laplante

Ward Vs Laplante - Middleweights 10 Rounds

Round 1 ~

Laplante looks like a bad guy from a Scooby Do cartoon, really. Spitting image of like a thousand cartoon bad guys we've all seen growing up. Now on to the fight.

Feeling themselves out, slow start, Ward seems to be hunting. Ward pushed Laplante down, ref called it a push, N/KD. Some holding, Ward is chasing him. Laplante is running from him. It's kinda lame to watch. Ward is obviously the better man. Ward just landed a somewhat low blow. This guy Laplante looks awful. It's almost unbearable to watch. He fights scared. Laplante just got caught with a straight right and went down. Boom. One punch.
Ok, this wont last. Laplante went down again from a punch to the back of the head? I think. He went down clutching the back of his head and still is on the ground, i didn't get a good view from the camera angle. Ward wins, 1st round TKO. Doctors are checking Laplante out, he's responding fine although he's still down. Ok, replay shows the punch was on the side of the head, near the ear. It wasn't a rabbit punch, not even close, just hurt so down he goes.
He's on his knees, talking to the doc. He's up and seems ok. Peace.

Hopefully Nate Campbell won't repeat what he did against Peden and give Diamond a free shot. Should be a good fight, best on the undercard at least.
