why didnt tyson ever fight bowe?

Blame it on his promoter, King wouldn't let Tyson fight Lewis, Bowe Holyfield and even George Foreman.

Just like Bowe's promoter, Rock Newman, wanted no part of Lennox Lewis.

That would have been great as it would have been a re-match of the Olympic gold fight that Lewis won by stoppage.

Short answer:

Rid**** Bowe (or his team) wasn't up for it and he was a chicken

Tyson and Bowe was good friends for one reason plus Mike was in jail while Bowe was getting it in. And Lewis ducked everybody in the early 90's he did not want any part of Mike following the Tyson Vs. Razor Ruddock fight.

Tyson was a early bloomer, Lewis was a late bloomer. Prime vs. prime it would be 22 year old Tyson vs. 34 year old Lewis. But who knows what happened with Tyson if he stayed clean and have a disciplined life, maybe he would have become even better. What would have happened if D'amato lived 10 years longer? Tyson would have been the greatest of all time, no doubt and Lewis would have NEVER fought him and even if he would, he would just be another scared challenger for the unified Champion! The only guy who still could give Tyson a real tough fight is Holyfield. But guys like Lewis and Bowe would **** their pants.
