Rank Cotto vs Margarito 1 with the ATG exciting WW title fights!

Forget the whole Margarito scandal thing afterwards, remember it how you did the day after it happened. When 2 of the best welterweights in the world, one undefeated looking almost unstoppable before this fight in Cotto, against an iron chinned warrior in Margarito.

Cotto fans leave the butthurt out of it, and Mexicans as much as your **** got hard at Toney taking him out, it wasn't a one sided beating at all until the last couple rounds, IT WAS A ****IN WAR! Berto vs Ortiz had some epic knockdowns but other then that it wasn't the ****in shootout this fight was!

Where would you rank it with the other ATG exciting welterweight title scraps?! It had a the hype, a major world title, and IT DELIVERED!

But this is one of my ATGs fights. When I pass away, I want to wear a bad ass Margarito affliction shirt and a dvd copy of this fight to be buried with.

If Tszyu got into the HOF, Cotto and Margs should go in it as well.

I can dig this. This fight definitely don't get as much love as it should, it's just one of them happily forgotten memories it seems kinda like when a guy has fun in his younger days but once he settles down with his woman it kinda fades away, it was good for a moment but once *******s & *****'s were born it seems like a distant memory.

Especially since Floyd retired to avoid both of em and Oscar pussay'd away from Margarito and tried to take the easy route and got destroyed by Manny then *******s were born then the Tony scandal...

One of the best WW fights I've ever seen by two of favorite WW ever. Reminds me allot of ODL VS Ike. Two of the best facing eachother in their prime. Something we dont see to much of now a days. When "fighters" take vacations to avoid others fights & fighters only take on drained past their prime boxers.

Great great fight, I love both fighters.

                  Cotto good skills, athletic abilities.

Margarito pure heart, chin, and workrate.

I want to say Top 5, but I'm sure I'm missing other fights, so I'll be in the safe side and put Top 10. My head is a mess trying to get into Law School. But my heart says Top 5 and my mind says that I'm missing other fights.

Either way, it was one of the greatest fights I've seen, and I'm talking at all weight classes. Two guys, hard as ****, tough as nails who can take hits and dish it out. I remember when the fight was announced thinking that Tony was going to be a monster, but not like that. That dude was taking shots that should have KO'd his ass, but he kept coming. I was a fan of Tony before the fight, then was borderline nut hugger afterwards, then of course the Plaster scandal.

My boy took an L, but I was proud of him for staying there until his body gave out. He was ready for a rematch anytime anywhere up until the whole plastergate.

And regardless of plaster, it'll never take away the feeling of amazement I had when I first watched it and seeing them go hard. Its a matchup that will always produce fireworks, that's why I'll be there for the rematch, and hopefully will be there for the trilogy (if it remains in NY)
