For once, this dope makes a good post I can agree with.

Diaz' past achievements now seem to be dismissed out of hand by too many. At his best, he was a very good fighter, who brought a skillful, nuanced brand of pressure to his opponents and has some nice wins and accomplishments. I was never an uber-fan, but I feel it's a touch unfair that he became such a lightly regarded fighter since the KO defeat to Marquez.

He should have fought his scheduled fight. Retire with a W and give the fans one last performance.

However still, you can't knock the man. He fought his heart out and used boxing a tool to secure his future, not make a payday, buy a buncha ****, and be broke by the time he hits 30.

Great example for all boxers coming up. Hats off to the baby bull.

Good for him but I wouldn't be surprised to him make a comeback in the future.

Good for him, he had some good moments but he had 4 loses in his last 6 fights. Better to retire now than after a KO that can hurt him for life. Good luck to him.

Best of luck Juan, great job. We all knew this was coming. This guy is a true role model. Too few have a plan like Juan Diaz, his parents must be very proud.

Too bad we didn't get to see Pac vs Diaz at 135 when Pac moved up. It was firework waiting to happen if it happened LOL.
