I expect Ryan Rhodes to outbox Alvarez early, and then as Canelo gets more desperate and aggressive he'll leave himself open and get KTFO by a big Rhodes right hand in the 7th round.
I expect him to box off the back foot and try and time Canelo with counters, if it goes the distance the forward momentum and aggressiveness of Canelo will win him at least 8 rounds.
I think Rhodes is going to catch Canelo with a big shot after surviving a strong start by Canelo and take him out at round the 8th round and really put it on him to force a stoppage.
IS Rhodes any good then lol? he has great odds at paddy power
I don't rate Alvarez much.. i mean he got hurt by Cotto.. but surely golden boy wouldn't mess up there major prospect this bad? On second thoughts knowing them maybe they will
I think Rhodes will punish the ginger **** for a while but he seems to open to punches and I can see a combination from Alvarez causing Rhodes trouble.

Well usually GBP probably wouldn't take the risk, but it seems as if de la Hoya was on a lot of mind-altering substances around the time that he set up this fight so...
They tend to make mistakes with their prospects. They didn't know much about Maidana but put him in with Ortiz. They didn't know much about Pirog but put him in with Jacobs. This fight fits that pattern, but I think the drugs Oscar was on maybe played a part as well.
Rhodes is good, the odds surprise me but maybe it's just that they expect a robbery or they expect people to go with the hype and bet on Canelo.
If I were a betting man, I'd be sure to remember that Ali once said "if you wanna lose it all, bet on Saul". Or at least I think that was the quote.
Either Rhodes by ko (which i voted for) or a close, perhaps homecooked decision for Canelo. I think Canelo's best weight is probably 147 and he has still some stuff to learn in the ring.
