I dunno, he did a lot with Gatti. Regardless of what happened against Floyd, Gatti has hugely improved under McGirt.

Actually when Gatti first started his pro career he was a dazzling sportman inside in the ring. He had speed and pop and actually could box. Then when he couldnt get any big fights or any decent purses is when he turned into the brawler he is. McGirt came along and actually did very little for Gatti...Gatti was a better boxer back in the day but people have came so accustomed to his brawling style they forget his early years.

Gatti did destroy Mayweather...He destroyed Mayweather's chances at getting a fight against a top 140lbs. fighter any time soon.


...So in a way, McGirt was right.
