I dont really know about this HBO ****, but i just got it and wanted to know, do you have to pay pay-per-view or they will have the jones-tarver fight on HBO??

This is HBO PPV, you have to pay even if you have HBO. If you dont buy it, you can watch it the following saturday.

lol, could you be a little more descriptive? why? that's how companies make money..

bigger promotional fights, like this one, will be on a larger scale like HBO PPV or Showtime PPV, whereas the smaller ones will be on regular HBO or Showtime. There's always much debate on which fights should be on PPV and which on regular HBO/SHO but that's just the way it works.

My advice would be to watch the free Showtime card instead and then catch the replay of Jones-Tarver when they show it on regular HBO sometime next week.
