I've always like dana white. Anyone betting against him or mma will lose. Boxing will always be a more exciting sport in my eyes but there isn't even a question about what business model is better. The fighters aren't grossly over paid so money is actually left over to promote the sport, they get publicly scolded when they fight light crap, they don't get to duck oher fighters, they have bonuses for fight of he night, the have free fights on regular tv, they try their best to stack the cards, i mean hell, its run the way every combat sport should be.

Well I think Nevada needs to control who is fighting who next, so therefore there could be no ducking, no need for 1 boss, maybe a counsel at the Nevada commission to take votes and etc..

There fighters do need to be paid more though, they getting kicked in the faces for pennies when compared to every other sport, hell even FAKE WWE makes more than UFC.

Brock Lesnar gets around 1 million a year in UFC, when he was promised 3 million in WWE.

I've always thought it would get to this point. I 'm not going to come out and say straight up that the UFC is a monopoly, I don't know the specifics on the subject, that's something the courts will eventually decide but I will say that without question there is only one promotion around that common fans know about and that's the UFC. In other word the UFC is the only place where quality mma fighters can make money. That being said, I agree with Dana White about Arum. The guy shreds the UFC all the time, bashes the participants on the regular to the point where its laughable, while at the same time keeping all fights in house under the Top Rank banner i.e. Pac fights. One regulating commission for each sport would be something I would support. Wishful thinking I know.

Always support the people willing to get into the ring first!

Lol it's because the Feds are investigating the UFC for having a monopoly. They could potentially at worst be totally shut down. Arum and Shaw commented on it. Dana White can't take criticism professionally. Dudes an idiot.

lol UFC is a monopoly. They threaten to black ball anyone who appears in a video game not labelled UFC. They buy out all the organizations that rise in popularity enough to get next to UFC in popularity. Pride, WEC, SF.
