I'm pretty sure Floyd helped Genaro out before this also. For the ******s out there Floyd has been doing altruistic things for quite some time. You probably don't even know about most of them because they don't really get publicity. The only reason he publicises "feeding the homeless" on 24/7 and talks about it is because it is done via his foundation (which does alot of other things if you check out the site). In order to get donations people need to actually know your charity exists FIRST and foremost, and then secondly they need to know what it actually does.

The FMJF is relatively new. Floyd has done things in the past (years ago) before the foundation was formed. For example he picked up the entire $200,000 tab so that a Golden gloves tournament could remain in Michigan as there was no funding for it on a state level, it would have been moved elsewhere. He has also done things like purchase clothing and footwear for hundreds of school children in Michigan off the cuff after seeing some kids woefully under clothed mid-winter waiting at a bus stop shivering their assses off.

He does alot of charity work and most of it is funded from his own pocket. He set up that charity basketball game. Gives his time to run a summer camp for kids in his gym. Speaks to kids in school about applying yourself and the value of hard work. Worked with the make a wish foundation. The examples are endless.

Why anyone would hate on someone for doing charitable work is beyond me??? I'm not a fan of MP these days (mainly because of his ridiculous occult fanboys and his refusal to undertake OST) but you can't knock him for his altruistic work in the Philippines and his desire to eradicate poverty there.

It is a sad individual who would criticise Floyd for paying for a man's funeral, no matter how deep your hatred of the man is.

Opportunistic move by Floyd! He knows it's a good publicity because he has a fight coming!! Last time he did something good was when He gives Food to Vegas Homeless during the Fight with JMM & making fund raising during the Mosley fight.

Now check if he did something good during his Vacation? All we heard during his vacation were Criminal stuff. Beating his Ex & threatening his kids, Beating the security guard, Not paying his taxes, & Making false accusations on Pac.

I believed him if He did something good during his lOng Vacations! But All he did was Party, Gamble, Sell his Soda, Beat up Women & the guards, & Spend his Money on Luxuries stuff! Only the *****s will buy that kind of antics! For Floyd, it's just show time!

Floyd has always done good things for the community and people.

He gave free turkeys on thanksgiving and people here criticize him for giving the poor people an uncooked turkey.

He opens his gym to the kids every summer and has a free boxing camp for the kids and gives them free stuff.

He feeds the homeless every Friday behind the Salvation Army in Vegas. And he gives poor people money.

Floyd hosts and pays for his own basketball charity events. He also has fundraisers for his charity.

Who are you to criticize another man for what he's doing? What have you done for the community?

Say what you want about Floyd. Sure, he's not perfect, but nobody is.

Bottom line: He knows he isn't perfect, but tries his hardest to make up for his short-comings.

Anyone who argues his selflessness is strictly a hater.

Nobody is perfect 100% of the time. Nobody.

Floyd tries his hardest to give back when he can, and for that, I give him TONS of credit. (Which he deserves!)

If only more of our professional athletes did things like this.
