ive heard that is a "per se" stoppage rule. i don't know if it's true, because montiel was allowed to continue after that grotesque display of knockedoutedness. . and **** there's another fight where the fighter kinda stumbled but still the ref allowed him to beat the count. maybe in some jurisdictions it is a per se rule, and others it's discretionary and "ad hoc".

people don't realize how long a few seconds can be when you are getting hit repeatedly without your full wits - it only takes a few shots once you're brain is scrambled and you're donezo.
