      That sounds about right.

If GBP gets him the proper fights, I see Canelo being ready for Manny Sept. 2012

think in the event pac/jmm or pac/pbf wont get made, pac/canelo may be it....pac/jmm is already in the bag contractually but who knows?.....a poor jmm showing in the tune up may get in the way

I guarantee that Canelo would not make it to the final bell against Pacquiao.

Pac would beat him worse than he did Margarito and that was the worst beating in a Major fight in decades.

Canelo would get the ASSWHOOPING of a lifetime, NO THREAT to Pacquiao what so ever, even in 2 years.

Styles make fights and his style is just wrong, all it would be for him is a big PayDAY.

i could care less about the whole "manny pacquiao in the future" thing. canelo can't make 150, i doubt they'd want him.
his trainer said they worked on his defense. god, i hope thats true and it shows. alvarez needs to focus on the tough opposition in his division, plenty of talent there for him to fight for at least a year.
