WBC belt at stake for Mayweather/Ortiz

certainly seems to be so Mayweather willing to pay sanctioning fees this time round?wonder why he didn't want to against Mosley, why do you think he favours the WBC championship over WBA? i mean WBA has been around longer so it's not like it's an inferior championship to have,it's a strange one i think.

Not sure why that is, but Floyd really does love those green belts.

I'm sure I read somewhere that Mayweather is done with titles, and he doesn't want to waste money on sanctioning fees.

i believe the wbc doesnt force him to fight meaningless mandatories..where as the wba would probally impose that on him..just guessing

yes i know but nothing has ever been explained as to why i just find it interesting.seems bizarre to just knock back the chance to win the WBA belt i thought he would have done the same from then on with any sanctioning body.

he might be thinking of a MP match in the future. Manny has some straps at 147, it basically becomes unification match in one. Floyd also has lineal claim.

because they have respect for him and they always speak highly of him

and YES also what Larry X posted, they probably do give him a lot more Freedom and they wouldn't try to force him to fight Mandatories, the probably has more to do with Al Haymon though because the WBC didn't force Berto into any Mandatories either
