    Gennady Golovkin-how good is he?

I think he's better than Pirog. But the question still remains, is he good enough for Martinez? He's got power and the skill, not sure about his chin, has it been tested yet? A great amateur.
But the problem is, he has been fighting limited opposition, thats why we don't know how good he really is.

I think he's the real deal, but he needs to get some better fights fast. Ouma is a decent fight coming up, hopefully he'll get bigger and better fights immediately after.

His amatuer record sure is impressive, beating the following:

    Matvey Korobov
    Andy Lee
    Lucian Bute (KO 4)
    Yordanis Despaigne (current Light Heavyweight)
    Andre Dirrell

solid, but I dont like to judge a fighter until Ive seen him in there with good competition, and honestly Golovkin hasnt faced any so far. Im not counting amateurs.

Would love to see him vs Pirog, Pavlik, Martinez, Sturm, or even Rubio or Geale.
He needs to get a move on though, isnt he already fairly old?

His resume aint great, but I've been looking into it as of late and it ain't to bad

Golovkin knocked out Nilson Julio Tapia in 3 rounds. Only a few fights before Tapia took current WBA 154lb champion Austin Trout to a Majority Decision.

Golovkin knocked out Siarhei Khomitski in 5 rounds, Khomitski would go on to TKO former Top 10 Jr Middleweight Jamie Moore last year.

Golovkin knocked out Javier Alberto Mamani in just 1 round. Mamani took very good Middleweight Avtandil Khurtsidze to a Majority Decision and once fought Joachim Alcine in a world title elimiantor.

Golovkin beat Mehdi Bouadla who recently worked his way up the WBO rankings before being beat by Mikkel Kessler.

Add to the fact he's already beat up Chavez Jr, Angullo & Canelo in sparring.
