and Sergio already fought the best in his last 3 fights what's so funny about asking Chavez JR to do the same?
homeboy serg is the middleweight champ and has fought 1 real middleweight. none after he won his belt.
fighting chavez is NOT fighting the best.
there are several middleweights who deserve a title shot against sergio more than chavez.
but of course serg is not planning to fight them because he wants chavez and a bunch of small welterweights.

*Veneno Rubio: Don't tell me that you actually think that Veneno is a great boxer and that has a good chance of beating Martinez.
*Dimitri Pirog: Looked pretty good against Jacobs and then was pretty average in his next fight
*Felix Sturm: Won't fight Martinez
*Daniel Geale: The most likely fight, Geale was pretty good against Sylvester, but he's not at Martinez level.
So what do you want? The division lacks talent! And don't go with the "Get up to 168" ... I'm pretty confident he'll do it, maybe at the end of next year, but right now there are a lot of MW boxers that Martinez can beat to unify all the belts! Don't blame him for trying to do so.

he's the middleweight champion.
fight some fucking middleweights.
funny the only middleweight he wants to fight is a guy that most people don't think is very good and barely won a belt last weekend.

It takes great skill not to notice that is precisely what he said. But fear not the Sergio mafia are up to this momentous challenge. I predict this inconvenience, you know a blatant admission from their hero, will be swept away and we'll hear all kinds of greats tales about how the WBC, HBO, the UN and the United States government are screwing poor Martinez.
This pic says it all. Martinez is so good, he'll undoubtedly get all the belts and the commissions can't make money if one guy has ALL the belts. They want the belts spread around.....money makes the world go around.
