Comments Thread For: Steward: David Haye is a "Must Win" Fight For Klitschko

Trainer Emanuel Steward feels that it's necessary for WBA champion David Haye to take risks in his July 2 unification bout with WBO/IBO/IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko. Steward, who trains Klitschko, expects Haye to come out swinging with the hope of landing something big to Wladimir's chin. Steward respects Haye and considers the bout a "must-win" situation because a loss will always hang over Klitschko's head and overshadow his past accomplishments.

Manny is extremely transparent and forthcoming.

Respectable, and I actually think it will do Wlad a lot of good.

I had Wlad by KO but talk like this oddly makes me think even more so. Wlad's going to come in prepared, they know what they're dealing with.

            Steward has never said that.

I think Wlad wins by KO, but this really is a must win fight.

He's fought his entire career beating mostly decent fighters, but never got the recognition he deserved being on top of boxing's most prestige division.

For him to lose, especially to a guy like Haye would be heartbreaking.

The klico's possess devastating right hand's, among the best one's ever. I simply think Haye will take to many of those. Younger klico by Ko..

only because if Haye won he'd refuse a rematch
look how long it took him to agree to this fight
Wlad loses the world title but no credibility if Haye wins
don't see it happening anyway, Haye gets KTFO
