Comments Thread For: Pawel Wolak's Manager: Now Chavez Jr. Has No Excuse

Now that Top Rank's CEO, Bob Arum has said that he will not pursue a match up between promotional stablemates WBA junior middleweight king Miguel Cotto (36-2, 29 KOs) and newly-crowned WBC middleweight champion Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (43-0-1, 30 KOs), junior middleweight Pawel Wolak apparently wants to throw his hat into the ring.

Wolak dont have to worry about not getting a fight with Chavez at all. The fact that he is with arum theres already a chance.

Not for nothing...but Wolak v Jr would be a slug fest. A perfect example how you dont need to super skilled guys to make a good fight. Wolak would be giving up alot in the way of height and weight but unlike Zbik he does in fact have enough power to KO Jr. Lord knows Jr wont get out of the way of Woak's punches nor will Wolak weave away from Jr's body assault.

If it went 12 rounds both of these dudes would come away from that fight losing some marbles. And Wolak probably wins IMHO.

          Even, awesome fight.

          Please make it happen.

That could be a FOTY type match-up.

Great fight, I think Wolak would win by KO. Last time Chavez Jr was supposed to fight Wolak he got "high fever" a couple of days before the fight. Then I saw the fight between Wolak and Pinzón and I knew why Chavez Jr avoided Wolak. He's not a technical fighter, he's a brawler with KO power, adn that's the only thing a boxer needs to beat Chavez Jr.

Wolak has enough stamina and punch output that this would be a good fight. Jr has canceled with this guy before and there is a reason for that

I am sure arum is lining up those KO monsters for JR. *kidding*
I am sure Sylvester, Foreman, Mora, and Manfredo are anxiously waiting for the call to be victim #44. Everyone else in the division wipes the mat with his bum. Even Ishida
