Cotto by KO. Cotto should go back to 147 imo.

Cotto by KO. Too much experience and skills for young Ortiz to deal with.

It would be a great fight tho and I wouldn't be shocked if Ortiz wins. Ortiz looks a lot better at 147. Maybe he was having trouble making 140?

honestly i think that's a certainty. If you've followed his last handful or more fights you can see he was coming in at 141,142,143 etc. Some of these fights were contracted to be above 140 the way i understand. Additionally you could see he wasn't looking to great in the weigh ins.

The proof is in the performance at 147. Berto hits harder (or at a minimum at least as hard) as Maidana and Ortiz took every bomb Berto offered. His stamina also improved, as evidenced by the punch count and the fact he was still energetic right until the end of the match, and he also rehydrated past 160 in a WW fight....imo that's a huge signal that he really would have been struggling to get to 140.

Prime WW Cotto knocks him out. Too well rounded, composed and tough

Now? Im not sure Cotto would be strong enough at WW, can he even still do the weight?

I'll side with Ortiz on this one. Yes Cotto is more experienced, but he's also a lot more worn compared to Victor Ortiz. Ortiz seems like a different animal at 147 and eventually I feel he overwhelms Cotto.

I'd like to see how Ortiz handles a consistent body attack though, if Cotto can do it. Other than that, I feel Ortiz wears Cotto down.

Cotto by KO, Ortiz isn't tough enough to last 12 rounds, if he found it hard against Maidana then he'd have trouble taking Cotto's shots all night. Obviously Cotto isn't as big of a puncher as Maidana but Cotto wears you down and the accumulation of punches, especially body shots, are hard to take.

Cotto's body shots would make Ortiz quit again.

Cotto would fold in the first round. Ortiz by stoppage.
