Floyd vs ortiz? Well remember Floyd vs Genero Hernandez.

Floyd was only 21 with 16/17 fights, if you know anything about boxing you'll know they gave Floyd very lil chance.
Skills pay the bills... Can Ortiz do it, Floyd did at a younger age and less pro fights.
Shyt, Tyson did it also. Skills pay the bills

Yup 17-0(13 KO),Genaro Hernandez gave him a shot when he didn't have too, correct me if I am wrong but I do believe mayweather has said Genaro was one of his toughest opponents. Mayweather was a true champion after 18 victories, not like some of the young paper champs we got today he beat a reigning super feather champ whose only loss was to DLH, due to a rebroke nose, that mosley had broke in a sparring session, wins over boxers such as c. Hernandez, azumah nelson, raul perez and Carlos gerena.

Lol, at first I thought you were comparing Ortiz to Hernandez, and I was about to blow my keyboard up giving an absurd amount of reasons why they very far away from each other in fighting style.

I don't think Tyson was an underdog even once in his career until the Lewis fight by the way.

I know that Mayweather always says that Emanuel Augustus (then Burton) has been the toughest fight of his career. I would assume that he considers Genaro as one of his toughest fights though... even though Floyd dominated that fight, I have a feeling that he was somewhat nervous in there, being so young, and seeing someone with so much more skill than anyone he had faced in his professional career up to that point. My guess is that he always wondered if the next thing he did would fall into a trap that Hernandez set that he didn't think was possible. Master boxers/master counterpunchers would be among the most scary styles to fight in my opinion, because of how crafty they can be. For example, if I was handling Chad Dawson, I would have been very nervous about him fighting Tarver, especially because Chad's chin was so suspect and Tarver's left hand had shown significant power on more than one occasion in his career.
