    probably not.

i'll be rooting for victor but aside from a lucky punch he has no chance. floyd would school him. petersen outboxed ortiz for crying out loud.

that said , it's still a good fight. victor is a top ranked welterweight.

people worry too much about ****** stuff like "he can't beat him" or "he's no threat" when it comes to pacquiao and floyd.

they're #1A and #1B p4p! duh , few fighters are gonna be a threat to those guys.

I think so, not that he's going to be the favorite or anything because we all know that would be absurd, but at least Ortiz is an active fighter and is in good shape at the moment. Margarito was coming from a crappy fight against a bum and before that was inactive for a long time because of the suspension.

Absolutely. He's a better overall Boxer with Speed, Ability, Athleticism and Some Power. All Margarito was....was just Bigger!!! He brought nothing to the table...no speed, no athleticism, no skill. Just a straight forward easy-2-hit brawler...Perfect for Pacquiao. In fact....this is a dangerous fight for Floyd. he's not a young man anymore, loss of reflexes, long lay-offs and now fighting a southpaw that has some POP, and Ortiz came in well-over 160lbs (on fight night) vs Berto. This is a dangerous fight for Floyd as well as an opportunity to see how he looks at 34 after an extended lay-off. CAN'T WAIT!!!

          Hell yes.

He's still got a few brain cells left.

Margo was punch drunk before the fight.

Now he's two punches away from the short bus.

meh, i don't think ortiz present too much problems against floyd. given he's the best of that weight class, ortiz will still most probably lose.

still you really can't hate floyd for this fight.

yeah, margarito got his ass kicked but he was doing better than i expected, mainly due to the size.

people always say "he's just big", well sometimes being big is enough to win fights

Yeah...I see Floyd winning it. But I think he's going to work for it. We saw in Ortiz last fight (First "Real-time" on the big stage)...Ortiz came to fight!!! Now on the biggest of stages against the biggest of names along with being a PPV fight. Ortiz is coming to FIGHT!!! But what I am hoping for is another GBP night of solid PPV fights. That Maidana vs Morales card was EXCELLENT!!!

I think so, if Ortiz has that look in his eyes and fights hard yet reasonable he could be a problem. Margarito wasn't nearly as dangerous by that point. Maybe it was the wraps or the beating Shane gave him, but something was gone by the time he fought Manny, it wasn't even there for his tune up bout with a much lesser opponent than Manny.

Right now no one should really be upset, part III is coming and Floyd is back in a fight with a young champ. Outside the mega fight that cannot be made for a never ending list of reasons for both sides, these fights are quality and good for the sport. I'm watching both gladly.
