Comments Thread For: Corley: Mayweather is No Berto, Ortiz Will Find Out

You could say that quick, fast and in a hurry -- as soon as you can say “Chop Chop” -- that Vicious Victor Ortiz will realize come Sept. 17 that he’s stepped into the highest stratosphere of ring talent against unbeaten Floyd Mayweather Jr.

At least Berto has power. Ortiz will walk thru all of Mayweathers punches like if they were thrown by Malinaggi.

Win Lose or Draw one thing is for certain, Ortiz will leave the fight looking just like he did when he got in.

Berto is really a limited boxer so yeah, Ortiz might have no idea what he's getting into. He opens himself up a lot. Finishes with his left hook a lot. Floyd will exploit all of that at some point. The only question is what happens if Ortiz takes those counters and finds a way to land some of his own? Because he's a pretty good combination puncher.

At least he's longer, stronger, a southpaw, explosive. It's not something Floyd has had to deal with.

I hope Ortiz is getting more money than reported, I heard rumors of $40 Million for Floyd. Floyd might have beaten a smaller, older Marquez, but I think Ortiz has something for Floyd. Lots of people ignore father time, but he never forgets you. Floyd resorted to trickeration for a cheap win and that's a sure tell. He doesn't believe he can win without an edge.
