    Former world super featherweight champion Genaro "Chicanito" Hernandez, passed away at his home in Mission Viejo, California. The popular fighter has unfortunately lost his long battle with cancer. The grand champion at 130-pounds was reported to have passed away around 3PM (Pacific time). The Mexican boxer, who came up in South Los Angeles, finished his career as a boxer with a record of 38 wins, 17 of them by knockout, and just two defeats and one draw. Hernández was 45-years-old.

              RIP CHICANITO… One of the nicest fighters of the sport. I got to train at the same gym as him when he was getting ready for ODL. He was always very nice & kind to everyone. RIP CHAMP.
