EMPORIA, Kansas - Two Kansas drug charges against former heavyweight boxing champion Tommy Morrison have been dropped because the state trooper who arrested him has died. The Emporia Gazette reports the charges were dropped Monday in Lyon County District Court because Kansas Highway Patrolman Beau Wallace was killed May 26 in a motorcycle accident.

The drug war is over and the cops lost. They are surrounded, outnumbered, corrupted, and the drug trade is only getting bigger. What a waste. If tommy wants to get stoned, why are we breaking the bank trying, and I mean only trying to stop him.
Point number two, and this may sound tacky, but I bet those charges would stick in spite of the officers death if Tommy wasn't wh..cau..you know.

Forgive me if I didn't express my condolances to officer Wallace's family. There was never any animosity in my statements meant for him or the law enforcement community. I just can't understand sending a college trained, 50 thousand doller a year employee up a dark alley, in a dangerous area, after an armed high school drop out, ex con, for a twenty dollar piece of rock.
