How much will a September PPV hurt a November PPV?

I know Mosley hurt PAC's next PPV numbers, but does PBF vs Ortiz do more damage?

    Pacquiao-Clottey didn't hurt the Mayweather-Mosley PPV.

It will most likely increase Pacquiao's numbers like what happened with Mayweather-Marquez and Pacquiao-Cotto. More people will watch Pacquiao's fight like a compare and contrast type thing.

Not at all to me. Those who love Manny will buy his fight and those who love Floyd will buy his, any real fan would watch both anyway. I'm not at all a fan of Manny or Top Rank but I will admit that I will be watching pt.III at a fight party solely based on the other two fights. Everybody is getting what they want here, outside of the fight that cannot be made anyway.

Pacquiao vs Marquez will do 1 million no matter what.

Mayweather vs Ortiz will do 1 million no matter what

That is about 2 months so I doubt it would have any real negative effect, if the fight is really good I would imagine it would have a positive effect.

I like this answer, I didn't think PAC vs JMM 3 was gonna go over million, but you may be right comedian.

For me it depends on the undercard in this particular circumstance. When there are PPVs close together I do sometimes pick one over the other. I will definitely get Mayweather vs Ortiz b/c I think it's an interesting matchup.

I feel that Marquez deserves this 3rd fight, but I don't give him too much of a shot at winning. He couldn't do it when he was younger and he and Pac were closer to the same level. Now he's a little more shop-worn and Pac has gotten better. That combined with the weight makes it pretty unlikely he'll win. Since this fight is in my mind a bit of a forgone conclusion, I'd have to be enticed by the undercard to pay for the PPV.

Having said all that, if I can get a group of people over my house to split the costs (which I try to do everytime) then there's not any PPV I won't buy. I bought Haye-Valuev b/c there were others willing to throw down.

If people like the September fight, they're probably more likely to buy the November.
