I highly doubt that's what they're doing. Even now, it wouldn't be the most anticipated fight of all time, though it is definitely the most anticipated of this generation by far.

      IRS.

They are currently compounding the number of days floyd dodging the taxman. Floyd will be a hobo in less than a decade.

Mayweather is going to be 35, Manny said he only wants 2 more fights, it's not happening people.

The sad thing is, Pac's legacy is cemented, while Floyd will be remembered as the guy who refused to fight Pac.

        Not good for boxing.
They're 1 lineal title apart, they're 3 weight classes apart in titles.

If titles in 5 weight classes, and 3 lineal titles does not cement your legacy. 1 more lineal title and 3 more titles in 3 weight classes should make you so much better.

If I remember correctly, this whole top 25 ATG status/cemented legacy was not being talked about pre-DLH for Pacquiao. So wins over DLH, Hatton[who Mayweather beat both], Cotto, Clottey, Margarito, Mosley[who Mayweather beat]....basically 3 more names made the difference. 1 of those names was not even ranked in the top 15 in any weight class.

paquiao's run below sfw is far more impressive than his fights above it.

but i agree, pac is ahead atg wise but its not as if floyd can't do anything about it if he wants to

Its this kind of backward ass mathematics thats got floyd running from the irs. If he was really half as smart as u claim we would be talking about pacquiao vs mayweather 3 by now. He would have made far more money that way then he ever will this way. In the mean time he hasn't stayed active, can't stop getting arrested, and has shot his legacy full of more holes then a block of swiss cheese...yeah "genius"

What a cheapskate, he doesn't pay uncle Roger nothing or he best bud Ellerbe and what about Haymon.

If Floyd doesn't pay them with cash how does he pay them?

floyd is not even active artm. i don't see how this is happening at all. whoever puts money into this is wasting it. $200m is a lot of money to pay to see these two in the ring. even best football players are paid at most like $100m for a few years contract. it's huge just huge.

Not only that. This fight, if it ever happens, would be a snooze fest. Pac would have a hard time hitting a running target. The first round in the Mosley fight I thought oh boy this would be a long night for Pac. The opponent is hard to reach and not so willing to engage, which is the exact opposite of what people expected, ie, Mosley disrespecting Pac and would walk through Pac's punches and at the same time unleashing his powerful right. It didn't happen. Of course, Floyd is not Mosley, but Floyd won't take risk potshotting Pac in quick successive fashion. Pac's combination would surely be unleashed in one of those potshots. Only thing that could stop Pac from releasing his combo is when caught with a deadly punch, followed by more, which is unlikely. So this would be similar to Pac/Mosley -- boring.

A boring fight doesn't deserve all that money.

Pac vs Ortiz or Floyd vs Ortiz should be pushed instead.

I'm not losing sleep over the fight not happening.

I'd like to see it as much as everyone else, but if you're expecting an action packed nail biter, this ain't the fight for you.
