Comments Thread For: Froch: I'll Walk Though Andre Ward's Shots, Exploit Him

That clip is a good example of growing pains. That was six years ago, Ward had fought his whole life with headgear. Happened often to a young Cassius Clay, was he chinny?
You said Ward has never been in a fight with a big puncher, but he took punches from Kessler, Bika and Abraham. Rattled? Hardly. He took those punches fine.
You also talk about Froch like he is some kind of pure boxer, which is ridiculous. Froch is a fighter first and foremost who has some boxing skills. He isnt going to be on the back foot again Ward, hes going to try and impose his strength, power and toughness.
The fact that Froch says he can walk through Ward's punches actually give me less faith in Froch's chances here. If hes thinking that way Ward will be landing clean all night long.
For the record, these were and are my two favorite fighters in the tournament, but you are talking nonsense.Comment

I'm American but Froch is my man! Always exciting, the dude is ****y and BACKS IT UP!! That said, I think Ward will be too skillful for him, but Froch can pull it off. I see the vulnerabilities in Ward and a guy like Froch can definitely exploit them, but he's going to have to fight a perfect fight. Regardless of what he says, I doubt he'll be able to walk through Ward's shots which though, not like dynamite, are the kinds of slicing blows which cut up a dude like Kessler. Froch needs to mix it up. He needs to boxer-punch and then he needs to bully when on the inside. Froch's boxing skills are very underrated, but if he tries to box against Ward he will lose bad.Comment

1.I gave Ward much respect for taking those punches but none of those fighters were able to put more then the 1 shot together Froch will..Not to mention Ward was staggered in both AA fight and the Bika fight..It's ok because he did not go down and seemed to recover rather quickly..That clip is a good example of growing pains. 2.Froch has always done his best work moving backwards..Funny thing is Froch is a fighter but to get him confused that he is not a boxer puncher would be a very big misunderstanding of what Froch is/does..It's a big reason Froch get's no credit because most people don't understand the mans fighting style..Hell it seemed as if Tarver just figured it out after watching some film..Froch is a boxer puncher.maybe not a pure boxer(as you said)but a boxer puncher..Oh and he said himself he has no intention on coming forward in this fight..Froch coming forward is Froch giving up his advantage, trust Froch is much smarter then that..
3.We all have opinions on who will win,imo this will be a tough fight for both,I'll put this fight at 50/50 for either man..Oh if ya have not notice Froch style is to take a punch, because if you can hit Froch he can hit ya..Getting hit is part of Froch's style..Comment

Well look like Froch is gonna lose, if he plans on walking thur punches then that all Ward needs him to do cause he definatly isnt gonna find him too often just ask AA, it all fun and games till you step in the ring with some1 with speed, he got out boxed by Dirrell so he'll definatly look bad against Ward.Comment

Nothing like it all bro it was amazing and what a fight..The thing I liked the best of this fight, was everyone was so close to the ring..I like small venues at times esp for a fight like that one..It was a lot of action and really fun to watch bro amazing time..Oh and you get to talk to guy's like Bro ****m(amazing guy I might add)and Dibella who I believe was drunk(lol)it was great...i dont know froch ate a lot, and i mean A LOT of clean right hands from a
slower and older 42 year old glen johnson....
ward may not be a knockout puncher but he is a razor sharp puncher who
can break you down with activity, similar to floyd mayweather...
in a boxing match ward beats froch 12 rounds to none, but if froch mixes it
up and fights ward rugged like a bully he has a better chance to win rounds..
hope you enjoyed the fight this weekend brother, nothing like being at a live
fight is there my friend?
As far as Froch being caught by Johnson's right hands..Froch I believe was nailed by two clean ones..Other then that Froch let's you in because then you are in his punching range..Froch is very settle(I've been saying this for awhile)and does not get any credit because of it..I'm not saying he is a shoe in,but I'd have to say this is a 50/50 fight..Comment

Froch is no AA don't get it twisted..As long as Ward comes to fight(I don't believe Ward is going to fight anything like Dirrell's non engaging style)then let the best man win..Well look like Froch is gonna lose, if he plans on walking thur punches then that all Ward needs him to do cause he definatly isnt gonna find him too often just ask AA, it all fun and games till you step in the ring with some1 with speed, he got out boxed by Dirrell so he'll definatly look bad against Ward.Comment

lol how is ward chinny?? when has he even been wobbled or visibly hurt??....... not only that but froch really doesn't hit as hard as he thinks hence why just like ward he hasnt ko'd anyone in the tourny. The way Froch talks about his power you would think he could KO Vitali klitschko. Ward all the way!!Fair comments guys.
You've got a short memory. Ward went in against Kessler, who was the betting favourite to win the 'Super six', I like Kessler but Ward dominated him (To my surprise) and even a jaded Kessler is a better boxer than Froch.
Ward has the better all round skills, speed, and better tactics. Having beat Kessler, Ward will have the psychological advantage over Froch too. No doubts that Froch will have his moments but they are likely to be few and far between.I think Ward's punching power is underrated. Sure he might not be able to hurt Froch, but I think he'll get Froch's respect. With Ward's good punch repertoire, specifically his jab, I see Froch being the aggressor for the majority of the fight and getting hit cleanly while still being able to land his. This got FOTY written all over it.Comment
