respect to the american showtime commentators

gus johnson and tarver were funny, and made a plea to the idiot british fans to support carl froch as you have a "wonderful champion"

Plus tarver makes me laugh as well.

good commentators and far better than john rawlings and jim watt.

well played america from a english lad.

I wouldn't blame Froch for upping sticks to the States. At least the yanks know how to appreciate a quality fighter. I'm really proud that he's getting so much love from America, yet it annoys me incredibly that he gets ignored over here.

The worst was David Haye getting nominated for BBC SPOTY, while Froch got ignored. Made my blood boil...

I honestly never understood why some British fans think that in America they are only partial to American fighters, simply not true.

America loves a winner, no matter where he is from. Take Pacquaio for example, he is much more loved that Floyd is and Floyd is American.

Showtime is also the best when it comes to commentating fights, Bernstein is my favorite all time, he's really knowledgeable about the fight game and Tarver does very well for a former fighter.

Americans understand how good Froch is, believe me.

I agree with this post entirely.Matter of fact,American fighters are much less loved by American fight fans atm.Floyd is hogging all the fans & exciting fighters like the Punisher get looked over cold like.

I thought that was classy too.....

you've been missing out with Tarver, he's a natural and he's much mor comfortable, hence the jokes he and al have been cracking lately.

very very good fight all the way around. kessler looked decent vs the french midget as well.

Yes. In fact, Antonio Tarver is the best commentator/analyst in boxing.

Jim Watt is too negative. I notice Richie Woodhall is much better than Watt as a commentator/analyst, Sky should use him more and Watt less.

Rawlings is awful, he's terribly boring to listen to. Gus Johnson is MUCH better.

Al Bernstein sucks because of his bias and constant discrediting of European fighters (example: kept going on about Bouadla being a middleweight to discredit Kessler's performance when in fact Bouadla's been fighting at 168 and is ranked by two sanctioning organizations), so Showtime should drop him and just go with Johnson and Tarver.

                    Watt and Rawlings doesn't work.

Rawlings is a bit bias and Watt is the polar opposite. Everybody is always losing according to Watt and when it turns around his tune completely changes.

He basically wrote off George Groves' entire career against Kenny Anderson. It was a terrible job. Give the lad a chance.

Then Groves turned it all around and it he was all sweetness and light.

Just call it as you see it. He draw long-term conclusions from tiny segments of action. And he was a former fighter he should no all that crap could change with one punch.
