Still don't get the hype on p4p rankings. But anyways, I don't think Ward beating Froch or vice versa makes the winner the best fighter in the sport. They deserve a ton of respect though.

I think so. Because they would have went through the best guys who faught the best guys.

The 2 finalist are part of the original 6. So, they would have faught 2-3 of the best SMWs, who in turn faught at least 1 of the best SMWs.

So whoever wins the S6 would in turn be at least #2 on the p4p list.

As much as I think Bute doesn't deserve to be the best SMW. The winner will most likely fight him and if they win they basically put on a "Fab 4 era" performance.

Which will definitely cement them as the p4p #1.

P4P #6, skipping Segura, Wongkongtongponglongchong, and Bradley goes down one. If Ward beats Froch, he should be moved up from 9 to 5. If Ward beats Bute, he should be top 3. The only way I see Ward/Froch being P4P #1 is if they beat Bute and the winner of Dawson/Hopkins at 175.

And even then, it's more because no one else is doing anything. Pacquiao beating Marquez means nothing, Martinez beating Chavez Jr means nothing, Wlad beating Haye is a meaningful fight and Wlad should be moved up from 5 to top 3 if he wins. I think if Haye beats Wlad, he should b ranked in the top 5.

The winner of the super six might not be the most talented boxer in the sport in terms of ability but deserve to be top 5 because they are fighting the best in the division, boxers who are live wires not like Poochiao fighting boxers with hardly a heart beat or a lightweight in his upcoming fight.

Top 5 yes. Top 1 absolutly not.

Pacquiao his fighting two first ballot HOFers this year. How many are these guys fighting? Author Abraham? Glen Johnson? Come on.

The Rings rankings would look something like this:

              1. Martinez
              2. Pacquiao
              3. Mayweather
              4. Froch/Ward
              5. Donaire

Fighting HOF'ers at the tail end of their careers does not make you a top 1 P4P fighter, it enhances your resume for people who are looking for notable fighters you fought without taking anything else in to consideration.

Wlad should fight Ali and Frazier, after he beats Haye. That way he'd fight two ATG's and become the #1P4P fighter.

Ward is already #9, a dominating win over Froch should make him #5-6.

FALSE. Ward hasn't done enough to be that high yet, not when Mayweather, Pacquiao and Martinez are around. And if Froch wins, well, that's just laughable. Don't get me wrong. Froch is a good solid fighter, but best in the world? Wow.
