In his book it states he could'nt throw cause of a really bad shoulder injury, imagine if he was 100%, it would have been a better fight.

Tapia never had a fight that wasn't entertaining. By far the best champion to come out of New Mexico. He could box, had a great chin, good foot work and movement. The only thing he really lacked was power. He could have had a greater legacy if only he had a head on his shoulders. The man was a troubled individual, but who wouldn't be growing up the way he did. "Mi Vida Loca" will always be one of my all time favorites.

He won his fight last night. Stopped Pastrana in 8 rounds. I read it was a good fight but didn't see it. I was going to go to the casino, but I'm not allowed to leave the county without my p.o.'s permission. So I watched Jr and Zbik instead.

tapia is a legend and a warrior, shame about his promoter kept him separated from guys like mark johnson or tim austin coulda been great fights
