It's because Saul is still inexperienced in big fights. He has a long record but no record on the big stage.

If Saul had experience on the big stage like Martinez and PWill. Pacquiao would be avoiding him like the plague.

It can't be the style because Saul moves just as fast or faster than Cotto. Has more heart than Cotto. with power in both hands like Mosley. So the only real reason must be his green status.

Manny Pacquiao fans who post on here are the biggest and worst hypocrites in the sport of boxing. Always throwing dirt on other fighters wanting to get shots at fighters, like for instance, Martinez wants to fight Chavez Jr (Who has been protected his whole career) but Pac fans are yelling foul but Jr is now a middle weight champion. Now Arum shows interest in a Canelo/Pac fight and his fans are all up for it and making the money excuse? You guys are garbage posters. Roach said Pac won't be fighting above 147 again but he will against Canelo if it happens but Pac couldn't against Martinez? And his fans basically justified the duck. Fan boys to the core. Victor Ortiz is there and Arum won't even think about it. I would much rather a Canelo/Chavez Jr fight then a Pac/Canelo. Bob Arum is robbing the boxing fans of potential great fights and substituting them for set up matches to make him richer and in the meantime Pac fans are eating it up and telling everybody else with commonsense that their hating and don't know boxing?

lol. Why are people bringing up Sergio Martinez in this debate? You all know this fight will be at 147 or a 150lb catchweight. Martinez rejected both weights for obvious reasons.

saul alvarez is better now than vargas ever was. though fighting pacquiao is a huge step up in competition, alvarez, IMO has what it takes to give the filipino star a run for his money. an entire country believes this also! would be a huge fight!
