Freddy has proven himself time and time again and his greatness cannot be challenged or disputed by anyone with a clear thinking brain.
The haters are noting more than novice boxing fans or wannabe pro's that never made the cut.
      Read it an weep.

Freddie Roach is great at picking fights.
i dont think freddie is overrated at all. currently overhyped, yeah.
who else can be considered top trainer??? people are too biased against freddie because of all the hype surrounding him & pac... there are PLENTY of freddie haters.

personally, i would rate steward above roach... but roach comes really close. heres a list of some fighters each current top trainer worked/works with:

        • steward: chavez, cintron, cotto, oscar, hamed, hearns, holyfield, klitschko, lennox, taylor, toney, moorer, dawson, etc.
        • roach: tyson, oscar, b-hop, penalosa, vasquez, toney, pac, vanes, khan, JCC jr, etc
        • garcia: margs, mikey, donaire, etc.
        • beristain: marquez bros, lopez, zaragoza, etc.
        • naz: b-hop, mosley, etc
        • roger: floyd jr, some prospects, etc.
        • floyd sr: floyd jr, oscar, hatton, dawson, guzman, etc.
        • sarmiento: sergio, etc.
        • shields: tyson, forrest, diaz, tua, cintron, holyfield, adamek, arreola, etc.
        • mcgirt: tarver, adamek, gatti, malignaggi, etc.

i mean, resume is everything... too many people discredit freddie. the man does good work. period

That’s an accurate way to describe Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. promoter Bob Arum’s Sunday brunch mood in Los Angeles, where on Saturday night the 25 year old son of Mexico’s great ring legend did rise to the occasion with a thin but convincing WBC middleweight title victory over light hitting champion, Sebasatian Zbik.

UMM Floyd fought 3 South Paws:Sharmba Mitchell,Zab Judah and Chop Chop Corley.Arum is just saying that Floyd is scared to fight Southpaws so people could think he`s ducking Pacroids.

And Jose Luis Castillo is not a south paw.

Ortiz is a bigger left handed Ricky Hatton but with a weaker chin. He'll have a few moments but I expect Floyd to knock him out late in the fight. He'll be eating those straight rights all night.

I hope Floyd fights Ortiz, it's a good tune up and hopefully he'll get good media attention about it, but I don't expect it.

great post and my thoughts also. manny has been training champs for as long as i can remember. roach came up when he got pac. but pacs competition under roach and arum is suspect. manny stewart has been at the top for decades. how can you rate roach even close, because of pac? one man vs multiple champions and great fighters. please.

whats up wax. roger cannot be in the mix as greatest trainer because his client list is limited. roach cannot approach stewart because manny has been training champs since roach was a boxer. how many champs has roach trained? i bet manny has him beat by at least 8 to 1.
