I thought Zbik won, I have to rewatch the fight but I think he might have swept the first six rounds. The crowed and the commentating was very bias I found it was even swaying my judgment.

What did you have Alexander - Kotelnik?

for me i felt like chavez won based on pure aggression, although he did get hit a whole lot more it didnt seem to faze him as much as he fazed zbik. other than that im glad i got a chance to watch both fights last night... the froch vs johnson battle was a good scrap too!

Had it a draw. My card was different than Ledderman's in that I scored rounds 6 and 10 for Zbik. He had them for Chavez

the only judge who scored the first hopkins-pascal fight in favor of hopkins (Steve Morrow) scored this fight a draw. I respect his opinion as a judge.

people are just hating on chavez, regardless i wasnt really impressed, he waits to much. If he fights from the opening bell like he did in the 12th, that would be much much better
When Paulie fought Diaz all I read was robbery , Paulie landed more etc. If the stronger shots are what scored Spadafora and Calzaghe woulda lost 3 outa their last 5 lol
Now its these monster body shots by chavez who was 2 weight classes higher on fight night. If they where so brutal they woulda stopped him or dropped him. Yeah they won junior some rounds but they did NOT take the title from the champ.

Chavez by 4 rounds. But I was pretty ****** up, Chavez nearly swept the last 8 rounds to me.

Chavez Jr just doesn't have that "It" factor to me. Roach isn't superman. He can turn a mediocre fighter decent, but not great.
I had Chavez winning by three points. It was closed. And you can get your face punched like that and still win rounds.

I mean, he got hit a lot...A LOT, but the punching that Zbik did was not effective enough to keep Chavez off save a couple of rounds. You can totally see the rounds where Chavez slacked, did little, and got peppered without responding. Other than those few rounds, Chavez never stopped.

Same can't be said for Zbik, though. The relentless body punching by Chavez paid off in the 2nd half, as Zbik seemed to retreat from attempting top be effective and continued to get pummeled.

In a nutshell, Chavez was effective with what he did regardless of Zbik.
Zbik was not effective with what he did in spite of the damage Chavez laid out.

Remember, effective aggressiveness counts for a lot to some judges, it must have to at least two of them last night.

I made a suggestion for a poll and someone got pissed last night. LOL
Thanks for putting a poll on.

Personally, I had Zbik winning by 2 points. Even one were to argue that it were a draw, JCCJ would not and should not win this title IMO. For those who disagree with my view, I don't hold anything against you. But to me the Lederman's card and one of the judge is really off.

What this fight shows is that JCCJ is not an elite material AND WILL IN ALL LIKELIHOOD NEVER BE in that league. This is obvious.

No trainer dead or alive (Futch, Arcel, Steward, Beristain, Amato, Roach, Garcias, Richardson, and the grate ****ing Norman Stone, ) can make this kid rise above mediocrity.

Chavez, by a couple of rounds too. I felt he took over in the 2nd half.
