Do you think Carl Froch is over the hill?

I am asking what you guys think, because Froch seemed a little lacklustre against Johnson anf he had less upperbody movement and (as far as I could tell) less sting in his punches than in his previous 2 fights.

I was thinking that perhaps Froch's grueling (and fanfriendly) schedule has caught up with him.

Yes. He has clearly lost a step.

no way, I think froch just sticked to the game plan for 12 rounds against a guy who has a steal head. Like Tarver said Froch isn't a natural boxer, it's in his DNA to mix it up. So of course he isn't going to look as stunning fighting that kind of style for 12 rounds (unless it's against Abraham).

No reason to discredit a good win over Johnson, he is not an easy fight for anyone. I thought Froch tried to execute his new style of walking backwards trying to defend more, like he did against Kessler. I've only seen this in his last 2 fights, if I look back against Jean Pascal or McGee there was only one way, and it was forward. I think Carl Froch is more smart inside the ring than given credit for.

Naw, he fought well. I think he looked great, Johnson also. For his age, Glen can still fight well enough to give the best problems, but just can't seem to get a break...lol.

Carl is at his peak, i think, but he's going to lose against Ward, imo.

I am not discrediting Froch at all. I just felt he was slower than usual and it took him longer to get going. Johnson also caught him with some overhand rights that was thrown from the rafters.

I can fully understand if all these wars Froch has been in is catching up to him.

Yeah I was thinking myself that he was pacing himself in the beginning, but he still took some shots that looked really slow.

At the beginning of the Super Six, I predicted everyone besides Dirrell to be punch drunk by the end of the tournament. Froch's schedule is the only one that wasn't really affected by injuries, so if anyone is it's him. But he looked pretty good last night.

Just imagine if Kessler hadn't gotten injured and they went at it again last night. I wouldn't be surprised if both hit the deck at least once and ruined eachother.
