    Winky Wright

I've seen so many threads about Wlad - Peter, or Jones - Tarver I'm starting to get sick.

Anyways, Winky Wright as you all can tell is an AWESOME fighter, but he has beaten pretty much blown up welterweights in Mosley and Trinidiad. Who do you guys think has the best shot to beat this guy from 154 to 160.

IMO, He has one of the best trainers in the world, every single fight I've seen him fight different to exploit his opponent. He's one of the most complete fighters on the planet. He's #3 P4P in my books.

Your thoughts? Who can beat this guy? And how would you do so?

Jermain Tayler probably has ta best chance right now. Tayler can jab and he can HIT! Wit an undefeated record, Tayler would be super competitive to even let Winky touch that winning streak. Would be a close fight though becuz Winky is like a ****in iguana or sum shyt. He can adjuest to different styles of fightas.

Sturm would give him a tuff fight. I see Jermain giving him a hard time but sort of think Winky would pull that one out (Winky is too slick and has enough gas for 12 rounds unlike 40 year old nard). I place Winky p4p 2 or 3 .

I dont think hes invincible, Vargas has beaten Winky in a close fight and i believe Felix Sturm has the biggest chance with Hopkins. My opinion.

Winky Wright would take Taylor to school in my opinion. Taylor didn't win the fight against an aging B-hop but was given the descision and he would totally get shut down by Wright.

I think Felix Sturm would give Wright problems though. He has good fundamentals and a good jab, I would actually like to see this match up.

Jermain Taylor is the first guy that came to my mind as well.

Taylor wouldn't stand a chance against Winky. Winky has the stamina to box for all 12 rounds which rules out the B-Hop incident. I don't see anybody who would pose a real threat to Winky in my opinion.

Yeah, if you go after Taylor for 12 rounds, your going to punish him. He's too young and inexperienced, Winky would just toy with him. I think it would be alot like the Mosley fights.

And for the person that said Vargas beat Winky, Winky was fighting orthodox back then. Now he is converted right hander, with a much better jab then before. I think Winky would destroy Vargas once again.

Seeing how quickly Floyd backed out of their proposed match, Wright just wants to make money, either by fighting Oscar or having a title shot at Taylor. Wright is one of the top middles now, but really, Taylor is much younger, bigger, and stronger and poses severe matchup problems for Wright. Wright would have his hands full with Hopkins, Soliman, Sturm, Ikeke, Eastman and has yet to show he could handle a top active contender. Tito was an inactive contender and not a good test on what Wright could really do in this division.

I've heard Winky might consider Lacy, which might be a mistake.

Winky said in a interview with Rick, found on this site, that he would NEVER fight Lacy. Lacy and him grew up together and he knows Jeff since they were kids. Winky wants anyone out there and returns in December.
