Cotto doesn't have to out muscle chavez. All he has to do is outbox him, which shouldn't be a hard task.

I'm a Cotto fan and he will win, but its a b*tch win IMO plain and simple. 155 catchweight and he'll probably never defend the title. I called Manny a b*tch for doing it with Cotto and Margarito and I'll call Cotto the same thing. Fight him at 155 fine, but the title shouldn't be on the line. As for Margarito he had surgery and the fight could still be made in Oct or Dec the story is floating around here somewhere. Until Cotto's next fight is SIGNED I'm putting all my hope into a Marg rematch.

I am not bold in a prediction unless I am sure of it.

Miguel Cotto is going to stop Chavez Jr, and I can't believe how many people think Chavez Jr is going to win. That guy is an amateur. Cotto is gonna break him in half.

I don't like giving bold predictions, but when I feel a fighter is going to win this badly, then there's a reason behind it. Not to toot my own horn but I had Ward decisioning Kessler, Margarito stopping Cotto, Hopkins UD over Pavlik, Mosley SD over Margarito, Pacquiao stopping Cotto[a lot of people did], Clottey decisioning Pacquiao[I was wrong], and Pacquiao decisioning Margarito.

And I have Cotto stopping Chavez Jr if this fight happens!

i thought that jcc jr. would be too big for cotto but after watching jr's fight tonight, cotto should handle him with ease.

Jr is a hard fight for Cotto. People seem to think Cotto would hurt Chavez when he couldn't even bring his power up to 154. Roach and Ariza at least have Jr. in better shape. He can take Cotto's punches and keep coming. We'll see if the fight still happens. It has my interest now.

I don't care at what weight this fight happens. 155, 156, 157, 158, 159, 160, Cotto is going to stop Chavez Jr, if not stop him, then brutally beat him to a pulp in 12, in which people will be blaming the corner for not stopping the fight and letting Chavez Jr take too much punishment.

                    He's 2-0 with 2 KO's at 154.

He did stop both of those guys, can't take that away. He landed a lot of power punches on Mayorga before he finally took him out.

Either way. Jr.'s always had a decent chin, and being that he's grown into a good sized Middleweight, I expect him to push the fight and make Cotto work hard for 12 ala Margarito.
