While I'm Puertorican and would love for Cotto to knock his noggin off his neck I think that if Chavez Jr climbs in the ring at 180 like tonight Cott's punches won't be effective. Cotto is also a short man for that weight class, in order for Cotto to win the fight he has to come in light, like at 154 at fight night. He has to be quicker, not big, his legs will give out if he comes in heavy. Cotto will also have to outbox him and not trade. I think Cotto wins if he goes to the body, if he goes head hunting he can get KO himself, Chavez Jr looked like a Cruiserweight tonight. As far as tonight's fight goes I thought Zbik won it, he won at least 7 rounds...

Zbik started the fight very good but then lost zip on his punches. Chavez did very good body work and hurt Zbik ... and probably helped in losing that zib by Zbik!

You can't just go by punch stats. Zbik clearly was hurting from those body shots in quite a few of those rounds even though he hit Chavez more often.

As the rounds went by, one would rather be Chavez than Zbik because Zbik had nothing in those punches after the first few rounds .... and as stated before, Zbik was clearly hurting from those body shots!

Like I said before, Martinez will ANNIHILATE both of them(Chavez jr & Zbik) in the same night!!! It was a good & entertaining fight & it was close..It could have gone either way cause Chavez jr stole a few rounds in the last minute..But once Chavez jr faces a REAL contender with decent power, it's OVER for him cause he has NO DEFENSE!! He blocks EVERYTHING with his face!! & it's funny cause Chavez Jr 1st said that now that he has a title he will fight anyone, but as soon as Kellerman asked about facing Martinez, Chavez jr's look said it all!! Chavez Jr clearly won this fight in my eyes. Zbik won 4 or 5 of the first 5 rounds but then chavez turned up the heat and did damage. Zbik had some rounds where he got compubox credit for landing more punches but those numbers dont mean anything. if a guy lands 15 hard shots and you've just been peppering with weak shot that do no damage then your losing the round. Chavez clearly had Zbik hurt late several times and did enough to take the belt from Zbik.
