If Dirrell is going to be fine coming back from that 'injury' I want to see Dirrell v Ward. I think I would pick Dirrell to beat Ward.

A la kessler who has no inside game. Froch does and if ward can't hurt him with inside shots those froch combos just might get him a decision. Right now, I see a very close decision either way. 50/50 fight....

Froch has been in with MUCH better comp. And more diverse styles, he has the experience edge and has been able to adjust to his opponents style just as well as ward has.
Couple of things, Bika has a very good inside game. His rough style even gave Calzaghe problems. Froch has bene in with MUCH better comp? His best fighter out of all of those, Kessler, was a narrow loss. Ward dominated him. Taylor was due to fight Ward, but pulled out. Ward and Froch both battered Abraham.

The only difference is Sakio Bika vs Glen Johnson. Well Froch also has Jean Pascal, which is a very good win.

Both have fought very good comp, but Ward has the better resume because his win over Kessler.

As for the fight itself, I see Ward winning an 8-4 type fight. I could see Froch's jab and awkward style giving Ward problems at first, but Ward is pretty slippery on the inside and out. He's very good at adapting and his accuracy is excellent. I think he could carve him out by the end of the fight, but it wont be easy along the way.

Froch doesn't have an inside game, I do agree that Ward's inside game is decent at best. The thing with Froch is that he's slowed footed and I see Ward catching him every time Froch steps back.

          I am Carl Froch FIRM.

          buuuuuuuuuuuuuut

Ward is THE best SMW. This guy is just ridiculous. He is able to adapt to anything.

He doesn't have to fight like Dirrell. He just needs to fight technically efficient and he will probably beat him. Beat him to the jab, and fight technically sound.

I am a big fan of Froch, he is probably my favorite fighter right now, but I don't think he can beat Ward though. I hope I am wrong but I just think Ward is too athletic and just too good of a boxer. He can do everything that Froch can do but faster and maybe even better. The only way I see Froch winning is by knockout or getting a gift decision.

ward will win and i think it will be fairly one sided regardless of the following froch has managed to get... the guy is cool but ward is a much classier talent and has better footwork relflexs and speed i totally disagree with people thinking ward does not have the pop on his punches to stop froch coming

i think he does have ok power but speed and footwork will be the key for ward i am seeing a comfortable 9 rounds to 3 rounds for ward

i just think froch struggles with movement, this is ward who has world class conditioning and for me is a superior fighter than dirrell, ward will copy that blueprint and will keep froch off balanced and then make him fight on the back foot!!!

ward comfortably and if the odds are right i might invest some hard earned on the UD

                  Andre dirrell.........

Ward is currently the best ranked smw though. He beat the guy that beat froch. My real beef as far as overrating him goes is his pfp ranking and people like flicker who think he's so versatile and nearly unbeatable.

Froch was losing against Taylor, lost against Dirrell, Abraham made him look better than he actually was, and beat by Kessler. I also had the fight with Johnson last night scored a draw.

Meanwhile Ward has clean swept all his opponents, only losing 1 or 2 rounds in the process at the most.

He will thoroughly outbox and dominate Froch. When Ward walked up in the post fight interview there was fear in Froch's eyes.

                    He knows the truth.
