      • What happen to fighters making adjustments in fights? This dude Zbik willingly fought Chavez's fight all night, and gave up every single advantage he had only to kiss Chavez's ass after the fight. Didn't ask for a rematch, just took the money and ran.

Chavez just doesnt have the power to get away with his style.....he has some power, but not nearly as good to dig himself out from a biiig hole against a better fighter than zbik...

cong**** to the kid, he earned it tonight, he clearly had a lot of rounds and stole a lot of rounds with some impressive bursts.....
I feel good for the kid... I can't complain about the win.. It was close but zbik was the champ... I felt jr had to do a much better job to steal the belt as the challenger. I feel good for Jr... bad for zbik, I would not call it a robbery but you all know what all the euros and puerto ricans are going to say and I can't blame em either.

Well, remember Alexander-Kotelnik? Alexander threw like 1100 AIR punches that never landed and got the win. While Kotelnik schooled him.

I thought fight shouldve been a draw but in Europe Zbik wins like 9 rounds to 3 and in USA JCC wins the fight.

The diffirence in the fight were the body shots, it winded Zbik and he wasnt able to get his Mallignagi on in the later rounds.

Pretty much. Whatever that favorite does better, just so happens to be what judges that night are putting the most weight on when scoring. Diaz-Malignaggi I, Alexander-Kotelnik, ect.

              Amazing coincidences.

              • JCC vs. Cotto should be a good match-up. Can't wait to see it.

                • What a surprise! Another piss poor performance by Chavez Jr. Top Rank made it look like his fight was a big deal and the Spanish commentators kept saying "Chavez Jr is on his way to becoming a legend just like his father." I laughed so hard during this fight. Oh well, that fight was a good laugh. 2 Weeks from now we get to see a true Mexican superstar in the making.

                  • I thought it was a good fight. I kept score in my head so I may be wrong but I thought Chavez won by 1 round. Could have gone either way including a draw.

Harold Lederman continues to prove he doesn't know how to score fights.

He said at one point "you gotta ask yourself who hurt who the most and that's who won the round." No you ****ing moron that is not how you score rounds. He's been doing this for 20 years or so and he still doesn't know how boxing works? :smdh:

anyways, it was a good fight. zbik was better than I expected, had good hand speed and landed cleanly on chavez. chavez was impressive with his body work and I agree with the ref the low blows were mostly a result of zbik pushing his head down low, so i'm glad no points were taken.

martinez would/will kill either of these guys. and lol @ showing "former MW champion sergio martinez." No, he IS the lineal world champion. Just because the WBC took his title away so chavez could win it doesn't mean he's not the lineal champion, he owns The Ring Belt which ****s on any abc fake ass title. Martinez beat Pavlik who beat Taylor who beat Hopkins who beat everyone and their mama. Lineal champion.

                    • My unofficial and probably unpopular scorecard

                      1 Zbik
                      2 Chavez
                      3 Zbik
                      4 Zbik
                      5 Chavez
                      6 Chavez
                      7 Chavez
                      8 Zbik
                      9 Zbik
                      10 Chavez
                      11 Chavez
                      12 Even

                      115-114 Chavez

                      Swing Rds: 5, 7, 8, 10, 12 (3 to Chavez 1 Zbik 1 Even)

So my scoring range was 116-112 Chavez to 117-111 for Zbik
