Watch that fight, and watch the Freddie Norwood fight. Just like Hopkins, a man who lost his first pro fight, and has a career full of robberies. He only has 2 real losses just like Hopkins does IMO.

it was a clear robbery, homecooking, call it what you will

I don't think the Norwood fight was a robbery though as it has been suggested in this thread

It was a close, tactical, competitive fight that was letdown by two ridiculous point deductions that were blatantly the result of a corrupt referee. On a fair scorecard,Marquez should have won on a two point difference. Not a robbery in terms of the in-ring action, but the actual scorecards and the actions of the ref that night was the result of some home cooking.

joe cortez makes the indonesian referee look like kenny bayless.

The Norwood fight was close but i had Marquez winning.

The John fight is the definition of robbery. John is even constantly takin knees actin like a sissy who been low blowed. Unless his balls are in his soler plexus............
                You should watch the fight.

Really? I had it easily 112-114. Excluding the OBVIOUS knockdown in round 8. It was close though.

The Norwood fight was far more decisive in Marquez's favour than John was.Chris John fought many close,swing-rounds and, before a slight dip in the last couple of rounds, fought on even terms throughout much of his ight with Marquez.Norwood had success in landing his straight left, but his work was infrequent and he spent a great portion of the fight clinging onto Marquez for dear life.Marquez didn't look spectacular, but his consistency should have given him a reasonably comfortable decision victory over Norwood.
