How do I go about becoming a referee/judge?

I have been looking to get out from inside the ropes getting my head punched to being the person judging someone getting their head punched, or refereeing matches. The only problem I am having is I cannot get information on it I have emailed USA Boxing and asked for information regarding the 2 and never recieved anything about it, I sent them a second mail and same thing. I look online for it and all I find is how to be a good referee or a good judge but not anything about becoming one or the other. I am from Massachusetts and have found nothing so far so any help would be greatly appreciated... Thanks all you boxing fans out there!

      hmm

Find local amatuer events in your area and question the officials about it. It might be difficult at first to find one but you will have to be determined.

Yeap, at an amateur boxing smoker, find the Head of Officials and volunteer your services. They have clinics and training for these positions, and just take it from there. Good luck.

Keep buildin confidence from there. DO it errr otha day so you get credibility. Then step yo game up by goin to ta bars. They got sum boxing fights entertainment there too. GO VOLUNTEER! Don't gotta be askin fo payment n shyt at first.

get involved in amatuer boxing. i think it's good to at least box a bit before judging someone else officially.

and having a boxing history itself will get you much farther than not. i've known of people who've already taken that route.
