You may not have read the news articles on this particular subject of the past few years. Manny P. and Roach have repeadedly said that 144 is both his optimum is both his optimum and best weight, and he will ONLY fight welterweight in the future.

So just to please you and a few others, he has no intention of cutting down 6 lbs of solid muscle, so carefully built up. What other purpose than giving any advantage to his opponent,, for the gratification of his opponents followers, or to tittilate the malice of those who just want to see him beaten.

In case you don't know, of have forgotten, boxing is a multi-million dollar SERIOUS BUSINESS, and there's no place in boxing for a long ago amateur sports attitude, now thrown in the discards. BOXING IS A SERIOUS BUSINESS today, even for amateurs, not just a "sporting event". It's not really a "sport" at all today, there's nothing sporting about it, it's more like the life and death struggles in the old Roman amphitheatres, where the combatants' lives were at stake.

(Perhaps some might even call MMA a "sport" which it certainly is NOT).

Of course its not gonna happen because arum will make sure the fight will be staged at a catch weight and that's the problem.Why watch a fight when you know that manny is gonna win for sure?Boxing should be about two evenly matched fighters who come in at the same comfortable weight and similar boxing record.

If u need one guy to cut weight and drain himself just to make the fight competitive, maybe there shouldn't be a fight to begin with. Jmm can come in at 136 if he wants to just like manny came in at 144 for cheato, so don't pull that jmm isn't gonna be ready nonsense. The only reason they want a lower weight is so manny will have to cut weight and weaken his self. If pac comes in at 100% and jmm comes in at 100%, jmm is getting violated and he knows it. The weight demands have nothing to do wit jmm, they are all centered around trying to take the sting out of pacquiao.
