I think Froch would win because he carries more pop on his punches. While Calzaghe has the speed, he will be slapping while Froch is also swinging and snapping his head back in the process.

interesting fight though. it would be pretty entertaining.

I hate Calzaghe but its like Freddy Roach said "he must slap hard if hes knocking everybody out".

Calzaghe's biggest strength for me was his ability to adapt to any style during the fight. He'd take a few shots from Froch early on but he had a knack for figuring an opponents rhythm out. He'd win a unanimous decision imo.

Calzaghe was a beast and proved it beating Hopkins plain and simple. And dont complain for Hopkins age at the time because he is beating people after that. So Joe would slap Froch in the face for 12 easy rounds. That one would be like Calzaghe-Kessler.

I think that calzaghe is a better fighter than froch and would win but Froch has a better resume than calzaghe so when all is said and done id rank him higher than calzaghe. Overall rankings are not based on what you COULD have done but on what you actually DID, therefore as it stands if Froch retired today id rate him higher than Calzaghe even though Calzaghe has/had better skills
