Does/Can Influencing Ratings Boost Boxing's Visibility

I raise this question because I was on ESPN reading about the Jr.-Zbik fight and went to comment. Would boxing be positively served by having people comment more on sites like ESPN? Ratings are also important I'd imagine and I do make a point of tuning into any fight on tv that I can catch, both because I enjoy it and because I do believe that if enough people did just that it'd show an increase in popularity.

An idea that hit me would be if we made a point of commenting on ESPN on boxing topics, perhaps bring discussions there to boost what they see people want.

    Thoughts/opinions?
