Something unsettling about that clip. Mosley was talking like he was going to die if the fight wasn't stopped.

Footage just compounds the exposure this matchup suffered.

Pacquiao looks like more and more of a terror, but it's clear that Shane doesn't want to be in those kinds of 'life and death' fight situations at this time of his life. His heart just isn't in it, you can tell. That's the biggest factor. Once, it would have been a different story.

That's the feelin I got, Shane looks real wide eyed, scared and shook up as though he thought continuing would lead him to be the next ''Apollo Creed''. I mean DAMN really feel for Shane seeing this clip.

I like Richardson, but I think he was trying to build his own legend...... I mean if Shane continues to take a beating its just the same as the rest of the fight, but if the 1/1000000000000000000 chance comes through and Shane somehow scored a miracle lucky punch KO, and Richardson was there with his old school "be tough" speech, then he looks like a genius.

I’m not going to talk bad about Shane the guy has gave us some great fights down the years and he was a shadow of his former self in that fight.

exactly, at one time in my life, in a fight, i was getting my ass handed to me by a bigger kid, although in the same grade and age, but none the less bigger kid, and i was about to turn face and run to prevent getting ko'd by this guy, he was manhandling me. my friend yells out to me " knock him out or get knocked out!!! c'mon! "

right at that moment, i uncorked a right hand, that til this day i still didnt' even feel it or even think about throwing it, but i cracked this kid so hard in the nose, so damn fast, after he slapped me around real good, i didn't drop him but he took a few steps back, blood gushing from his nose, turned around and RAN!!!........ I WON.

now, the point i am making is sometimes when you say " **** it " things work out in your favor...... sometimes not.

and had i got ko'd by the guy, people more than likely would've still shown me respect because i was willing to "go for it........!"

i thought mosley still had it in him to " go for it !"

sad to see this............ sometimes it's a good thing to go crazy and wild.......

i feel you on that, i just don't think richardson operates that way, most trainers yeah, but richardson, not so much.....

i honestly think richardson has an emotional tie with mosley and didn't want him to go out like that....

he wasn't making anything up when he said " you're cut from a different cloth " he's been saying that for a hot minute, because not only does he like shane on a personal level, but shane has proven to be on that old school level like richardson and im sure he didn't want to see the quit come out........

at any rate, shane isnt in his prime anymore and he might not have the drive and hunger like before, although he may say and think about it, but his body says and does otherwise, which is a good indicator that he's about to wrap it up, if he's smart.

richardson isnt a guy who's all about the glory or trying to get noticed..... his track record should tell you that.....

if he did, he'd do the exact same things as manny steward does with fighters, or mcgirt........ try and grab up as many potential stars as possible, train them one way and hope they make it to the championship level..........

all the while they've been the kiss of death to fighters in recent years......

richardson spends a lot of his time with amateurs and people who aren't on the worlds radar yet.........
